OneID has partnered with Data Zoo to provide users with an Anti Money Laundering (AML) capability alongside our existing Identity and Onboarding Product Suite.
Data Zoo
Data Zoo's Watchlist AML service is part of a comprehensive global screening solution that reduces any risk and fraud through real-time screening against the following data:
- Politically Exposed Person (PEP)
- Sanction
- Relatives and Close Associates (RCA
- Special Interest Person (SIP)
- Special Interest Entities (SIE)
- Adverse media
Key features:
- Comprehensive Coverage: Screen individuals against over 100,000 reputable sources in 40+ languages, including non-Latin scripts. This includes PEPs, their associates, sanctioned individuals or entities, and those linked to serious crimes or terrorism.
- Real-Time Results: Get screening results instantly. A unique access code is provided, allowing you to retrieve results for up to 24 hours.
- Customisable Matching Logic: Powered by Data Zoo, the solution allows tailored screening parameters to meet your specific risk and compliance requirements.
- Trusted Global Data: Partnering with leading international sources, Data Zoo ensures up-to-date and accurate coverage across media, government, and law enforcement databases.
- Privacy by Design: OneID® does not store any AML data. All results are generated on-demand, ensuring full control and compliance with data protection standards.
How it works
The Watchlist AML add-on is available for API integrations only, using the bank as verification method.
- Identity Verification: Customers verify their identity using their bank.
- AML Screening: The customer's details are screened against global watchlists.
- Access Results: Results are made available to you in a single API response. A unique code is generated which allows you to retrieve the result for 24 hours.

Corporate/Business | Individuals and entities listed by the United Kingdom Register of Businesses, Companies House. Includes company data from a further 128 countries. |
Disqualified Director | Individuals disqualified from acting as company directors(UK only)s |
Financial Regulator | Individuals or entities fined or subject to actions by financial regulators. |
ID/V | Personal identification details of the subject. |
Insolvent | Individuals declared bankrupt or insolvent (UK & Ireland only). |
Law Enforcement | Individuals/entities named in official law enforcement documents from Law Enforcement bodies such as the Police or any other agency such as Interpol or the FBI. Also, those individuals and entities cited in the Court and legal documents of that nature. |
Politically Exposed Person (PEP) | Politically Exposed Persons, including Head of State, Members of Parliament, Members of the Board of State-Owned Enterprises, Ambassadors and individuals representing their country's interests abroad. |
Sanction | Individuals/entities subject to sanctions by either the European Union, the United Nations, the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control and State Department, and Her Majesty’s Treasury in the United Kingdom. |

Note: Watchlist AML is not an identity verification service but an add-on to enhance compliance screening.
Storing and Retrieving Results
OneID and Data Zoo do not do not store any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data.

If a match is made to any lists, a PDF is made available as part of the API response for users to see the results of those matches.
Configuration
WatchList AML configurations are fully customisable to suit your own risk profile. For instance, you can choose to exclude a certain location for PEP checks but include the whole world for sanctions checks.

Client Reference | Data Zoo offers users the ability to specify a unique Client Reference for any verification request. A unique Client Reference helps users to track and identify their own requests and can be incredibly useful when integrating the Data Zoo services into customised systems. Namematchscore | Is an aggregated score by taking into account the result for firstName AND lastName. For a full nameMatchScore, both firstName and lastName must be true. addressmatchscore | Is a combined score calculated using the result of all address elements. How it's calculated can vary across services. If all address elements return 'true', addressMatchScore will be 1.000. It will drop if one or more address elements return 'false' and will be 0.000 if all elements are false. |
