Verification Overview

Requests for ID verification can be initiated from the Verification module.

There are 3 ways in which a request can be generated.

  • ID Check – ID Check allows you to send an identity verification link to an individual for them to complete on their own.
  • Assisted ID Check - Assisted ID Check allows you to send an identity verification link to an individual and guide them through the process.
  • Batch ID Check – Batch ID Check allows you to send an identity verification link to multiple people for them to complete on their own.

These can be accessed from the menu on the top left-hand side of the screen.

Please refer to the next section for details on each of the different Checks.

Creating Verification Requests

ID Check

ID Check allows portal users to send an identity verification link to an individual for them to complete on their own. The following steps show how it is done.

Send the ID Check Link

  1. Select the Method you want to use to send the verification link (email, SMS).
  2. Enter the individual's Contact details. There is an option to customise where a user's name can be entered and associated with the identity verification. This can be used to identify incomplete transactions or to personalise SMS or emails.

Note: SMS messages can only be sent to the listed countries included in the phone region code dropdown list.

  1. Add an optional Reference number to be attributed to the verification. It will be included in the invitation message for identity verification if entered.
  2. Click on the Send button to send the verification link or click on the Reset button to reset all fields.
  3. The user will receive the invitation for identity verification if the details are correct.

Assisted ID Check

Assisted ID Check uses the same fields as a standard ID Check. Once the email or SMS has been sent to the individual a set of prompts are shown on the screen to help you guide them through the journey either face to face or on a call.

Batch ID Check

The Batch ID Check allows you to send ID verification links to multiple individuals simultaneously. You can create batches of ID verification checks. To use Batch ID Check follow these steps:

Create Batch ID Checks

  1. Select whether the invitations are sent via SMS or by email

  2. Download the batch file template

  3. The template will be in Microsoft Excel format with the following fields:

    1. Name: Optional. Recipients name
    2. Country: Required. Country code
    3. Contact: Required. Phone number
    4. Reference. Optional. Any string for reference
    5. Channel: Optional. The channel name
    6. Unser: Optional. The upload users name
    7. Instruction Type: Optional. Either GUIDED, SELF_GUIDED, or BATCH CHECK
  4. Once completed upload the filled in template by either:

    1. dragging and dropping it or,
    2. clicking upload and selecting the file
  5. Provide a batch name and select NEXT

  6. Review the requests extracted from the batch file. Any records created in error can be removed at this stage by clicking the delete icon next to the required entry.

  7. Export a CSV copy of the final batch file and close the window.

Review Batch ID Check

Review previously sent batches and easily find specific transactions from the past using Review Batch Checks. Follow these steps to use this function.

  1. Search for batches by name using our quick search feature. You can filter the batches by status, i.e., Completed or InProgress.
  2. View the batch by clicking the eye (👁) icon (located in the View column).
  3. The transaction details of that batch will be displayed, as shown. Click on the (👁) icon to view a report.
  4. At the top of the report, you can locate the transaction identifiers and status.

It includes the following fields:

TimeThe timestamp when the user initiated the batch ID check.
Transaction IDThe unique identifier of a transaction record.
ReferenceThe reference name of the transaction.
StatusThe transaction status. Its value can be one of the following: - COMPLETED PASS - COMPLETED FLAGGED - PENDING - IN PROGRESS - EXPIRED - CANCELLED - SUBMITTED
NameThe individual’s name.
DOBThe individual’s date of birth.
ContactThe individual’s mobile phone number.

Transaction Report

Once a request has been sent to your customer they will be asked to scan their documents take and authenticate their biometrics with a selfie.

Once the customer has completed the process a transaction report will be available via the Repository.
